![]() My recommendation: Could you please use the standard dice token setup for all games to make the board more playable? Make randomized dice tokens an option under the Custom match game. Also, scenario 9: New World has players collaboratively set up a map. The scenarios included in the 2009 edition have a variable setup options, allow them to be replayed to some degree. Almost everyone with interest in board games knows about Catan. If the dice tokens were set up according to the board game rules there would be at least one decent hex every player could get to. There were slightly different sets of scenarios across the versions of Sefarers, but there has not been a scenario expansion book that I know of. It does require some manual setup, though, meaning new Tabletop Simulator players might. Heres how you can do it from your own home. If you're in a 4 player game one or two players have virtually no chance of winning. I played a long-distance version of Settlers of Catan, the wildly popular and complex board game, with 3 of my friends. Please note: If you want to play the expansions with of five or six players, you need, in addition to the base game and the expansion you have chosen, a base. This 1/3 of the board has no chance of being useful during the game. ![]() There might be two 3's, a 2 and two 11's grouped together next to the desert. The extra frame pieces which will be needed from the Seafarers. The frame pieces from the original box need to be turned over so that the sides without harbours are uppermost. You can settle Catan with up to 6 players. I have played several games now where a third of the board is unplayable. The first thing that needs to be set up in Seafarers is the frame for the board, which consists of the six frame pieces from the original box and some from the expansion. However, 5-6 Player Cities & Knights did not add any more Progress Cards to any of the 3 decks (Yellow/Trade, Blue/Politics, Green/Science. 5-6 player Settlers added 6 Knights/1 Road Building/1 Year of Plenty/1 Monopoly to the Development Card deck, and our 7-8 player Settlers will do the same. The problem is that the dice tokens are also randomized which does NOT follow board game rules. The Issue: 7-8 Player Cities & Knights of Catan. A number of fish can be exchanged to remove the robber, buy roads, or gain resources, depending on how many you exchange. In the Auto Match and Free Match games the tile types (Trees, Brick, etc) are randomized whch is OK and follows the rules in the board game version. The fisherman expansion adds a couple of fishing tiles along the shores, that grant you fish if the number comes up and you have a town. I have been playing Catan Universe for a few weeks and there is something that I don't understand.
